The 10ft DNV 2.7-1 Half Height Open Top Container is a heavy-duty offshore cargo container designed for transporting and handling equipment, materials and other suitable cargo in demanding industrial and offshore environments.
Its half-height, open-top configuration provides convenient overhead access for loading cargo by crane or other appropriate material-handling equipment. Unlike a conventional enclosed shipping container, the unit has no fixed steel roof, roof bows or tarp, making it suitable for cargo that benefits from unrestricted top access.
The container is constructed from high-strength Corten steel and incorporates a reinforced frame suitable for demanding handling applications. A single swing steel door provides side access for loading and unloading, while the stackable design can help make efficient use of storage and deck space.
The reference specification lists certification to DNV 2.7-1 and EN 12079 offshore-container standards, as well as ISO/CSC certification. The reference configuration also includes DNV-certified slings.
